Here we have a beautiful and fully functional Tower 51 rangefinder 35mm film camera. This camera is in excellent condition and works as it should. It takes beautiful photos.

The lens, film compartment, viewfinder, aperture blades, shutter blades, and general surfaces are clean and pristine. The leaf shutter is capable of speeds from 1 second to 1/300th of a second. On this particular model, the slow shutter speeds of 1 second and 1/2 second are slower than they should be, however all other speeds work correctly. The aperture actuates beautifully, and the focus mechanism is smooth and perfect. The rangefinder mechanism works correctly, and the viewfinder is clean and clear.

The Tower 51 was made in Hamburg, Germany by Iloca-Kamera Werk throughout the 1950s, and sold in the United States under Sears' camera brand "Tower." It is the same camera as the Iloca Rapid B.

The Tower 51 is a compact, capable film camera that uses the common 35mm film. This it exposes through a gorgeous German-made Steinheil Munchen Cassar S 50mm F/2.8 prime lens.

This is just a truly gorgeous camera, as capable today as it was when new.
